Two MICARE researchers spoke about their research at the X Congress of Latin American Association of Labour Studies, organised by the Centre of Labour Relations and Organisations of Universidad Alberto Hurtado.
On Wednesday 20th of July, our associate researcher and UC Institute of Sociology academic, María Beatriz Fernández, spoke about her study “Pandemic, care and female work: increasing gender inequality.“
The presentation was part of an international panel on care distribution at homes and COVID-19.

Later, on Thursday 21st of July, it was the turn of our young researcher Bárbara Flores, who is also a researcher at COES, in a panel about masculinities, care and gender relations.
Bárbara spoke abour her study with Ignacia Abufhele, titled “The effect of opinions about gender roles in child and domestic care on male job offer: longitudinal evidence from Chile”.
