Summary:
People with intellectual disabilities have been historically excluded from decision-making processes. Previous literature suggests that increasing social participation may be an effective way to address this exclusion, but there has been no systematic review of interventions designed to increase the social participation of people with intellectual disabilities.
This study aims to identify and organize factors associated with interventions that increase the social participation of people with intellectual disabilities, in addition to providing a set of good practices for future interventions.
