The role of family of origin in the work experiences of Chilean women micro-entrepreneurs
Description
While intergenerational research has extensively examined the role of the family of origin, there is limited understanding of its specific impact on the occupational experiences of female micro-entrepreneurs. Family dynamics, caregiving responsibilities, and gender norms often play crucial roles in shaping these experiences, particularly in the context of Latin America, where extended family arrangements and single motherhood are common.
The goal of this research was to explore how the family of origin influences the working experiences of female micro-entrepreneurs across different life stages in Chile.
