This study establishes the predictors of loneliness in unpaid carers of people living with dementia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The ultimate aim of the research is to help primary care services to identify these predictors and develop early interventions.
The analysis is based on an online survey of 195 unpaid carers about their situation regarding loneliness, anxiety and depression symptoms, physical and mental activities, overburden and psychosocial support, and about the situation of the person living with dementia in terms of changes in memory, and in behavior and psychological symptoms.
